Jabberwocky: Self-taut

Word origin: I was blogging about our new generator, describing how heavy it is. I alluded to how I see myself as a relatively strong woman, but despite my level of fitness and my sinewy musculature (ok, yeah, I’m embellishing here) there was no way I would’ve been able to pull the generator up to our house by myself. And that’s when our new vocabulary word, self-taut, debuted. I’m going to recommend that my gym incorporate this into their promotional merch.

Here’s another example courtesy of local artist Herb Massie, flexing all he has been taut. Not only is he gifted artistically, he would have no trouble getting that generator from Point A to Point B. Click here to hop over to the complete Beacon Newspaper article to read about our Baltimore gem.

KRR note: Seeing myself as a self-proclaimed lexiconnoisseur, one of my goals is for any of my word-inventions to get incorporated into everyday vernacular. Knowing that someone used one of my words while playing Scrabble or Boggle or finds itself in the Urban Dictionary gets me all adrenaline-y and thrilled at the prospect.
